The Wise Woman Sling is an adjustable ring sling pouch. The term "Hybrid" has been given to this style of sling as there are only a couple manufacturers of an adjustable pouch with rings. All slings come with aluminum rings that are specifically made for slings. Most slings will come with silver rings as shown in the photograph, occasionally black rings will be used. The aluminum rings are extremely light, weighing only one ounce per pair. They are not welded, so there is no weld mark on the rings. Just nice, smooth, lightweight and gorgeous!

Each Wise Woman Sling, with exception to the Mesh Water Sling, has a sewn strap as shown at the right. This strap design is great for those who do not want excess fabric flowing.

The strap does not provide any nursing coverup, but the depth of the pouch helps to keep the nursing relationship private when in public. This design also helps to keep the sling from getting "twisted" which is a common problem with open, flowing tails. Also, the tail is sewn only 12 inches from the end, and you will tighten the sling further than that. This allows for the top rail of the sling to be adjusted independently from the bottom rail. A great benefit for a perfect fit.

The pouch that is sewn into each sling provides a nice "pocket" for your baby's body. For infants, the pouch provides extra room so the legs can be comfortably inside the sling, and for a toddler, the extra room is perfect for a toddler's diapered bottom.

The benefit of a pouch is that it gives the extra room needed for body parts without compromising the fit on the caregiver. The fact that this sling is completely adjustable, means that multiple caregivers can wear this sling with a simple pull on the strap.
